Born in upstate NY, Steve Drum is a non-fiction writer/performer living in Savannah, GA. His focuses of writing include gay culture, gay rights, gay history and other gay things. He is working on a memoir about his experience as a hustler in New York and an oral history of Jim French’s Colt Studios.
Steve is a student in the MFA writing program and MA cinema studies program at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). He teaches in the SCAD Writers’ Studio and tutors international students writing their theses. In 2009, Drum earned his BFA in Theatre from New York University (NYU Tisch School of the Arts).
